Celebrating our seniors
Lately, we have lots of new forum members with lots of new puppies and lots of puppy pictures for us to drool over. We all enjoy seeing them. They are all so cute and cuddly, but what about our seniors? What do those cute little puppies look like when they're old? Well, here's one of the oldest on the forum, Tyler, who is 16 years and 8 months and still going strong. He sleeps a lot more now, has limited vision and hearing but is extremely healthy and active when not sleeping. He works out on his treadmill 45 minutes a day in three sessions and seems to really enjoy it. Of course, a treat or so during workouts really helps. lol He can also still RLH when he feels so inclined, but because of his ACL injury, six months ago yesterday, I'd rather that he didn't and refuse to chase him, although that is his favorite game. He has been our faithful companion since September of '97, when he joined our family, human and dog, at 9 weeks old. He has logged in hundreds of miles walking by my side, and sometime not by my side, over all these years. He has been and still is a joy and I want to share his latest pictures with you. The first was taken on Sunday, after his bath. He looked so distinguished! Then, two days later, oh no!!!
