Sunning

Lately, Django has been seeking sun spots in the house on a daily basis. It's been a rough winter since January, temps in the teens and below zero every day. Way too cold to take him out for a walk. When he goes out to eliminate he never meanders around the yard, he always runs back in the house like the speed of lightening.

Is he just feeling cold or could there be something else going on? He has plenty of blankets to get burrow underneath but never has an interest. Should I consider a warming pad for his pillow?

I do that too in the winter LOL. So does Ginger for short periods. Gotta love the sun.

Tyler has always found the sunny patch on the floor to lie in on in the sun on the deck. I attributed it to the fact that he was a Southern dog (VA) who moved up North and loved the sun. I don't think it has anything to do with his being cold, however. He's just a sun worshiper!

Emmie always seeks out the sun instead of the shade, even in the summer, and with her black fur you'd think she'd overheat but she doesn't. Crazy Cuban dog!

LOL, my dog does as well. Okay why is this? On the hottest of days, she finds a sunny little spot in the yard, and rolls around in the sun. Cuddles actually follows the sun path to stay out of the shade. I wanted to ask you about this, Emmie is so adorable, Cuddles, well not so cute, and she is white. Do dogs get skin cancer? I heard white dogs could.
