Go Dora!

So last I had the dishwasher repair guy and my pups were all pretty bad and wouldn't calm down. They just knew he didn't belong- the belt, outfit whatever, they wouldn't rest.

This morning the cable repair guy had to come. I put them all in a room with the gate. When he would walk by they would get excited. It is interesting to see how dogs read people differently and I saw this right away. But the one who was surprising me the most was Dora. Belle LOVES everyone, Dash same way (but for 2 mins and then he remembers he is a mommy's boy or sees a toy). But Dora kept crying when he walked by going back and forth to the outside and tvs. So I took just Dora out and he pet her and Dora who is normally the okay you can touch me but I don't really like it type dog was totally different. She was jumping and crying at him. He got down and she was licking him and being the strangest dog. I have seen Belle do this with everyone she meets but not my Dora. She has always been the most stand back and observe with strangers and it takes her awhile to warm up to people. Once she likes you yes, you can pet her, she will visit, do tricks, etc. but she is not like Belle at all. But Dora fell head over heels for the cable guy. He got out a notepad and wrote down Havanese too I know it sounds silly but I had tears in my eyes when he left cause Dora has never been that way and I am glad he was the one to come fix the cable today

What a SWEET story! Isn't it amazing how they just are drawn to some people? Or housekeeper, I really believe that..Gucci must think she is (was) her breeder, because from the day SHE MET HER, she goes head over heels wild to see her, crying, running in circles, whimpering (in a happy/excited way) Trying to give kisses, etc. I have often thought that maybe it is a *smell* or something that reminds her of her breeder, she acts like that with nobody else besides me.

Sounds like your cable guy has fallen in love with the breed. Who says they are girly-dogs only? lol

Makes you wonder what the connection is? Good for you Amanda for being perceptive enough to allow Dora out alone to interact with the cable guy. She may not have had the same experience if the other two were out....

Tess did something very similar the other night with a poodle when we were on our walk. We crossed paths with a neighbor walking her small poodle. Tess, who has never met this dog before, and normally would hide behind me, just went nuts! She approached the poodle with her whole little body wagging, she went down into the play stance, was hopping back & forth and then tried to follow the poodle. I kept Cody away to watch Tess and was just amazed. I wish I knew what she was thinking!!!!

She is a beautiful girl...oh, that color!!! You may have to call the cable company and complain about a bad pictures so he can come back at least once or twice a month...to give Dora a little thrill.
