Im here

I have not been on the forum at all. So if I missed a thread that is why.

I have a lot going on personally and it will all make more sense in a couple of months.

I get emails all day from the forum. My pm box is always full. I honestly can not always keep track of who I respond to. If you dont hear from me, then just send me another message.

Sometimes I am away and cant respond and if you would like to know if thats the case.. you can read my twitter, which also updates my facebook, and thats how some people know whats going on and some dont. Plus I have made some friends here and they know more.

Im going to the arcitc next week... WAY NORTHERN Canada to photograph Polar Bear babies when they first emerge from their dens. Its supposed to be -45. CRAZY COLD.

Last week I was in Yellowstone, Lamar Valley attempting to photograph wolves. It was phenomenal, although we struck out on wolves, just able to view them at a distance through scopes. That was still so awesome!!!! How they interact with each other is amazing. I read several books recently on the reintroduction of wolves to Yellowstone and it was a cool experience to see them in action. Sadly, they are dealing with a lot of disease this year.

Got some awesome big horn sheep, mountain goats, cyotes, and lots of scenics.

Thats an update.. communication... I should be on for the next week.

Melissa, what an exciting life you lead! I would have loved to see the wolves in action. Dancing with Wolves is one of my favorite movies. I hope you're able to get some great pictures of the polar cubs. Have a terrific trip to the Arctic and try to stay warm!

hi Melissa, if you go away and need someone to field PMs I am sure there are lots of folks who would help you out, even just to give folks a "please wait until such and such a date" response.

Have a good trip !

Yellowstone is one of my favorite places to visit..especially riding on a snowmobile looking at the wildlife. Your job sounds wonderful...but to cold for me. You better stock up on "hot hands" to stick them everywhere.
We could use some pictures of your furkids before you head out to become an ice cube.!
Be careful and have fun.

Don't forget to ask the first eskimo you see for directions to my place. In Canada we all know each other ;-) I'm the first left about 10,000km south of you... just past the Mountie Donut Shop....

Can't wait to see those pictures!

Chances are if your parents never had won't either...
