Bath...

Scooter is so funny after he has a bath! He runs around like a Tazmanian Devil. DH has a much better camera than I do and he took this one....

That's a funny action picture. No matter how much I dry Cicero, he will run like a Tazmanian Devil is trying to catch him. Funny thing is that last summer he would jump in the pool and then get out and drip for a while, then jump back in. It's only after the bath that he RLH and wants to dry his face on anything he can find. Nutty little guy.

That's a fun shot!

Do you blow dry Scooter after a bath or let him air dry?

I let him air dry if it's warm, only dry him if it's really cool in here. We towel dry him well too. I look forward to bath night because he's so funny!

I can see why you look forward to bath night! His antics sound hilarious.

You're bold! I don't let my guys run around wet because they would be all over the furniture wet (and the carpet too), and I find that they mat more if they air dry. Scooter's coat may not be a problem since his is cut shorter too.

Great shot!

Domino used to RLH after a bath and I would howl. Gitter doesn't do it as much.

Ann, I would say, though, that if Scooter is currently blowing coat you should probably blow dry him instead of letting him air dry. Kimberly raised a good point in that you're going to have more mats if you let him air dry than if you blow dry him yourself. At least until you're through this stage, I think blow drying him is the smart way to go... he'll still act crazy afterwards, I'm sure. Kubrick always does.

Ann, that's such a cute picture of a wet little Scooter!!! Marble does that too. In fact, he had an accident and hurt his leg once because he was in such a craze that he ran downstairs, skipping over a few steps. He crashed on the landing and hurt his leg for a few days The vet said he was okay, but I always worry he'll crash into something since the RLH after a bath is supercharged! I've tried blowdrying him, and shakes in fear so hard that I feel bad for him. I tried giving him treats but that didn't stop the shaking. So I'm back to letting him air dry.
