A Ricco update

I've been away from here a while but hope to be back some now. Quinn, my youngest son, pretty much takes up all my free time...well he and Ricco lol.

Ricco is now fully involved in the family time and only in his bed to sleep and during work hours. He has his own cable for in/out side time and his very own teenage chew toy haha.

My little mop dog now enjoys out side with out crying! He has the option to come in when scared and can easily go out to potty.

The pics are what few times he sat still...FEW lol. The one with him barking was him yelling at Daddy to stop touching HIS baby

Our family has had him almost a year now. In july it will be a year, seems like last week he was brought home a scared and sad looking little dog. Now hes an out going clean little boy who loves his forever family <3

thank you. I used to be active here but between breaking bad puppy habits and new baby i seem to have lost my pc time lol. Lucky for me both are doing much better. Ricco had massive abandonment issues and house breaking troubles. Now hes with us full time and is learning to sleep in bed with my older son {and NO potty opps!}

I remember your initial posts about Ricco and his issues. Sounds like you've done a great job with him. You said you would never give up on him and I'm so glad you didn't. Happy for all of you that things worked out, as you certainly had your hands full with the new baby and a problem dog. Looks like they are BFFs. Good for you

I could never give up on him. Hes such a sweet heart that he melted us, issues and all. Poor little guy was thrown away like trash. Im very glad my hubby picked him out of all the dogs at our local shelter. Ricco has so much love to give and we for sure ant him around a long time <3

My older son has had him sleeping kennel free for a week {didnt tell me till last friday} and Ricco hasnt pottied or chewed his room to death lol. We ended up doing the lead tie {in and out of house} to teach him to potty and to help his left alone issue. It worked great! He was able to come in when he felt scared and get Mommy hugs then go back out and bark at what ever it was. Hes gained so much confidence! Now he has the whole side yard {40 feet of running} and can come in when done so I can untie him. Im very proud on my boy
