Mucho chasing the waves

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=win8...ature=youtu.be

He eventually put all four legs in the water but didn't try to swim. We followed some advice on how to deal with a wet dog on a sandy beach: do nothing, let him dry in the sun, and all the sand and debris will magically fall off, and his hair will be in excellent condition. If you try to dry them up with a towel ghastly sandy mats will form.

Mucho reminds me of Tyler when he was younger. Tyler's coloring was the same as Mucho, although he has now lightened considerably and he used to run from the waves when we took him to the beach, as well as chase all the gulls.

Rather than letting him air dry to get the sand off, you may want to bath him after a dip in the ocean, as the salt can dry out their skin and cause itching. Just something that I read in one of my dog magazines. Thought I'd pass it along.

BTW, loved the video. It brought make memories.

Something about salt water is good for hair. Mine looked great after a day in the water when I was young and could stand the heat. I'd still wash it out tho. We forgot to take his towel when we took Manny to the beach and had to bring him home sandy...what a mess! Since you say they mat if you towel them maybe that was a good thing!

He's adorable! Looks like he had a great time.
