Do they drink what you drink

No, I only spend money on the dogs - they get distilled water. I just get tap water.

We (humans and dogs) drink water filtered through Reverse Osmosis (aka RO) which is 99.9% pure when the system is maintained. The system was very expensive to install and upkeep with the filters & membranes, but it is one of the purest forms of treated water.

We used to have a 250 gallon reef aquarium (that had a 100 gallon refugium) and found this water was one of the only methods you can use to sustain a reef aquarium. There are too many contaminents in tap water and you will kill your whole tank with it. Since the reef aquarium, RO is all we have used for drinking.

No. LOL!

We did figure out that a lot of the small shops that say they sell filtered water have RO water there. The question is how often they change their filters & membranes. We would sometimes buy a bit and then test it ourselves to see if it was pure enough. Sometimes it was and sometimes we were basically buying filtered tap water.

They have Brita from the frig in the house changed twice a day, but much prefer the nasty bowl outside or the standing water that pools on the deck after a rain
