Books

I just want to say that since the SPARCS conference and seeing Patricia McConnell, I bought her book "The Other End of the Leash" and I am LOVING it. She is a wonderful writer and full of fantastic observations that I think would help anyone who has a dog in their lives at all or even anyone just dealing with dogs out in public. I am also reading Ray & Lorna Coppinger's book Dogs and it is great too. First time I am reading two books simultaneously! But for those who don't know Patricia McConnell's book check it out. I bought it on Kindle so I can read it on my phone wherever I am.

That's one of the ones I bought at SPARCS too. (I also had her sign it for me ) I bought Ray's "Fishing Dogs" book, Serpell's "Domestic Dogs" and "Animal Cognition by Clive Wynne and Monique Udell. That'll be my summer reading. But I've got to finish "The Goldfinch" first. I'm mesmerized!

Try "Inside of a Dog" by Alexandra Horowitz. I liked it better than "the Other End..."

I read it and loved it! What a great book. The author is Garth Stein.
