Coco is 13 weeks today. She was born on March 31 st.
She had two shots and will have the next one this Wednesday.
She seems to be stronger and has much more energy.
She was 3.6 lbs at 10 lbs. when can i take her for walk in the neighborhood? My other dog was much bigger and we got him in Nov so i did not think of this then.
I will ask the vet but i get very good info here :-)

I didn't follow the rules. Mine went for walks after their second shots. I didn't however bring them to places where a lot of dogs hang out.

Leo was out around lots of people, in puppy kindergarten and around dogs I knew were properly vaccinated after his second shot which he received while still at his breeder's. I have always erred on the side of heavy socialization for my puppies and have never had one get sick from these early encounters. I did once adopt an 8 week old puppy from a rescue group that had kennel cough. She recovered over the course of a month, didn't infect the other 3 dogs that lived in our home at that time and lived to over 15 years. As soon as she recovered from kennel cough I had her out and about. I believe that extensive, mindful early socialization is so important to having a well adjusted adult dog that I am willing to take a bit of risk in getting young puppies out in the world. That said, dog parks, big box pet stores, doggy daycare, kennels and other places where lots of dogs hang out are off limits until the pup is fully vaccinated.

Thank you all!

I am doing the classes, plus we have an older dog. She however seems ready for a little longer walk than just driveway and yard. I did venture out a little on the sidewalk across from our house and she just loved it, I won't take her to park or stores till she is much older though.
