Those look really neat, Amanda, but I have to wonder how they work on dogs with long fur. Jackson gets really hot, too, and he is mostly white. I always figured the fur insulated them from the heat, but now I'm beginning to think the fur traps heat. Maybe one of those hand held misting fans would help too. UGA, the Georgia bulldog mascot, sits on a pile of ice cubes in a little portable doghouse during the hot football games!
And strangely, my chocolate and black lab always would lie out flat in the grass in 90°+ heat in the middle of summer taking a sun bath! Go figure . . .
Some good expert advice is needed here!
