Well, you never shared that about yourself!

Are you native to Cuba or just have Cuban blood?

Cool! My stepdad has always wanted to go to Cuba and if he ever goes I'm sure the whole family will try to make it.

Are there a LOT of Havanese there or not really?

Zury, I've been to your homeland 8 or 9 times in the past 10 years! Mostly in the Varadero resort area.. Best Beaches in the World!

Not Really (that I knew).
In Cuba most dogs are mixed and there is not much general dog knowledge (breed specific). I actually learned about the Havanese here in the USA. I now realized that our dogs (especially my sister's dog-Rocky) was a Hav mix.

Dogs in Cuba are not like dogs in the USA. There are many dogs (LOTS of dogs) in the streets, sometimes they are killed by cars and remain there (side of the st) for months. Is really sad, but is the reality.

There are, of course people that care for their dogs and keep them home safe. There are no shelters and maybe 1-2 vet clinics in Havana City (that I know about).
Our dogs were lucky that we brought them with us from Cuba, so they got the best of both worlds, but very few people actually do this.

I was gonna say, I have never seen a Havanese dog or a dog that even resembles a havanese in Cuba. All I have seen are typical mutt looking dogs... lol..

Where are all the havs???
