How are all the new puppies on here doing?

There have been a lot of new puppy parents on the forum (including me) the past few months. I would love to know how your pups are doing! I'll start with Benny!

Benny is now 17 weeks (4 months old in 3 days) and weighed in at the doctors at 8.8 lbs. I feel like every morning I look at him and he grows! He loves to eat and does this very cute run before every meal.

He has gotten better with leash training, though he's still not the greatest and seems to be very distracted by all his surroundings in the city. We're still working on training and he goes to classes on Thursdays. When he gets very excited, and we try to have him sit or lay down, most likely he won't listen...

His potty training is good, though the last few days he's had an accident or two on the carpet, so i've been keeping an extra close eye on him. He gets very excited every time he uses his ugodog because he get's a small treat.

His personality is very funny. He's super sweet and cuddly. He loves relaxing in my lap and gives lots of kisses. His head is currently on my laptop as I type this!

Things that we need to continue working on is biting when he gets excited and barking for almost anything. I want up, I want attention, I want a toy etc. I work from home and sometimes i'm on a call and he gets all barky and there's nothing I could do about it. We put him in time out and it normally works.

No separation anxiety when we leave him home at all. He does follow me everywhere when I am home though, and won't have it any other way!

We love him and his personality. He's made this last month a joy! Now tell me about your pups!

Hi Joanna & Benny,
Prince is doing well, except having little diarrhea at July 4 weekend and is all better after eating some pumpkin supplement.

Prince's turn 17 weeks today and weights 6.6lbs, because of his fluffy hair, he looks chunky.

I'm about to switch him to the HK Preference, but unfortunately his bowel movement is not back to normal yet, so I guess I have to wait till next week.

Potty training is good, and will ring the bell when he needs to go potty and PLAY. He loves to play ball and frisbee. Pretty good on commands, such as SIT,UP, STAY, LEAVE IT, DROP IT, DOWN,TURN AROUND and still working on roll over.

We used to put the gate in between the living and dining room, and now replaced with the beach ball....... its work !!!

Hi Joanna and Benny,
Oliver just turned 16 weeks yesterday so I posted an update thread with some pics in the puppy section. I talked about his progress and his issue with nipping and barking. I have the same problem and the more I try to stop the barking the more he does it. It is frustrating and I haven't figured out the best way to stop him. If you find anything that works let me know.

So funny that Prince weighs what Benny did a month ago at the vets. He's going to be smaller than Benny! He's a smart one, your Prince!

Sometimes, Benny just gets in the mood to bark. It seems to stop if we start playing fetch. I've also noticed that he doesn't like the dial tone noise of our house phone when it's on speaker, and when he starts to nip, I turn it on for a split second, and he stops. It actually works pretty well to calm him down lol. Just got to keep the phone next to me!
