Using the bathroom in the house!

My 10 year old has started peeing and pooping in the house.
She has been reliably housetrained since she was a puppy and for
the past 2 weeks, almost everyday she is messing in the house.

I am frustrated and very surprised she is doing this. She had her check up a couple of months ago including blood work, and everything came back good.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would take her back to the vet specifically for the peeing and pooping reason as that could be an indication of something a regular checkup would not catch. Our last dog started doing exactly that and he was never a dog to do anything in the house. We thought it might have been old age as he was 14, but it turned out he had prostate cancer and the tumor was pressing on his bladder and he couldn't feel the need to go and didn't have the ability to hold it. Of course your girl cannot have prostate cancer but there could be something internal causing the issue.

I agree-I would take her back to the vet-take a urine sample & have them check for crystals-she could have a UTI or something else going on-has there been any type of change at your home that could be causing stress?? Sometimes that can cause a potty change.
Since this is something that has just started I would want a rule out on medical issues then look to see if it could be from stress issues.

My daughter lived with me for 2 years and she had 2 little dogs she moved out about a month ago and that is when the problems started, now that I think of it.

I had been blaming it on my youngest dog and today I found out it was the old girl. I will call the vet in the morning and schedule an appointment to have her checked for a UTI.

Thanks ladies for your help.
