Laser!

Learned about a new toy, it is the Laser (the red laser pointer tool that speakers use to point out things on the overhead screens).

Use it on the carpet and the your pup will chase it! It is a great exercise tool on rainy days to tire out your Hav. Make sure you keep the laser pointed at the ground and move it slowly in one line until the Hav has the hang of it and then start moving the laser red light on the carpet up and down the hallway.

Do not point the laser at your Hav's face, please.

They are fun if your dog will cooperate. My boyfriend at the time thought it'd be a wonderful thing for Stella. She wasn't interested in the least (Maybe it was the boyfriend she wasn't interested in?!!)

I could not believe how much running Dexter was doing up and down the hallway. He was wearing me out. His tongue hanging out, sooooooooooooooooooo I had to give him some water, so it is outside every 20 minutes until he gets rid of all the water!

Dexter has nights when he is so Hyper and he needs to run it off and tonight is one of those nights!

Just be careful not to run Dexter into the wall...my BIL has two boxers (Dexter and Cali) and he got Dexter chasing the laser so fast one day that he couldn't slow down fast enough to stop for the wall and knocked himself out (he was okay)

Beamer likes the laser to... but once it redirected off a mirror or glass into my eyes and i swear I was seeing stars and weirdness for like an hour.. So, if it goes into their eyes while they are chasing it all over like mad (which is very possible) i think it might do some harm... I have stopped using it since my bad experience..

There are no mirrors down the hall, I do slow him down a little to take a break when doing the laser. If Dexter is looking at me, I shine the laser down. Dexter loves it! We quit because Dexter's tongue is hanging out, and then he is still looking to see where his favorite toy went.

Dexter usually crashes a little after 8pm and tonight it took him until about 9:45pm to crash.

I am still trying to drain the pee out of him by taking him out every 20 minutes, 4 times tonight so far. I just lengthen out the time to 40 minutes. He drank a lot of water after all that exercise!

Cicero loves to chase the red dot. That is one way I tired him out some nights.
