Coverups (Sticker protection) Came!!

The Etsy coverups came today, and I'm very pleased with them! The ripstop ones are quite detailed, with a velcro fastener up the chest, and I think they will do the best for not attracting stickers. The legs are a little too long, but, this was the first pair Jolene had done like this, and I just have to roll up the ribbing at the bottom of the legs and they are fine. They fit real well, and, were fairly easy to put on. Some of his tummy hair does stick out, but I knew that would be the case...they need to be like that for him to go potty while wearing them. (And, he's got a lot of hair!)

The ripstop ones are from Etsy: nomorenekkiddogs.etsy.com and Jolene has kept the information on how she made them on file. I told her there might be other Hav folks that want coverups, too. The ripstop comes in different colors.

The camo ones are easy to get on, easy to move in for Tucker, and don't have fasteners. I think they might be too easy for stickers to attach to, but hope they work, anyway. The body is a little longer than I'd like, but that will be easy to sew a seam in to take it up a bit if I decide I need to. But, since it is a knit, it seems like it might be okay this way, and it is easy to get on.

The camo ones are from Etsy, also: paulinesfashions.etsy.com

Didn't Tucker do well posing, since he's never worn "clothes" before? You should have seen his expression, though, as I got him into the coverups!!!

Those are fantastic, Sheri!! I love the ripstop one - hopefully there will be enough "slippery-ness" to the fabric that it won't cause matting. I would love to have a little "suit" for each of my guys too - for those times you want them to really play but you don't want to give them a bath afterwards!! I will check out the link.

Did Tucker get used to wearing them? Sometimes at first, they act "frozen" - until they are coaxed to move around wearing their new clothes

Jane,
This is what he had to say about wearing the coverups! Ha!!

"Get away from me with the camera!! NO WAY are you going to post a picture of me in these!!!"

Actually, he was finishing a treat that I used to get him out the door into the sunlight for his picture. He really didn't seem to have a problem with moving once I did that.

DH doesn't like clothes on his boy....but I might have to get this little item for running around at the creek. I think it could save time brushing out leaves and twigs.

Dale, that is why I got them. The only reason. When we are at my folks' cabin in the mountains of Idaho, it literally takes at least 15 minutes to brush out the hundreds of tiny burrs after a 5 minute walk outside to do his business! And, the smells out there are so wonderful that of course he "HAS to go potty" many times during the day! It's just too much effort on my part.

This way I'm hoping I can even let him sniff around some, through the sagebrush, tall grass, and check out prairie dog holes. He'd be SO happy to sniff around!!

Sheri, those coverups are darling! I am kind of partial to the camouflage one as it looks like it goes with Tucker's coloring. Love that hilarious picture of him with the treat.

Gosh, if I put one of those on Jackson plus the Boot Pawz, I think he could go to the beach and not get any sand spurs! Thanks for sharing . . .
