Talking Spring finally made it to Quebec!!

I'm sure several of you remember the videos I posted showing the boys enjoying winter in Quebec....running through the paths that my son diligently shoveled out for them.

Well, our backyard for the past several weeks has been a bog....the streets wet and full of sand left over from the winter....but today...oh joy....today was the first day the park near our house was dry enough for the boys to run in.

A short video of Harley & Seymour's first run through the park....

OMG Pat! They have really grown haven't they? Time just flies by so fast! Harley and Seymour look like they had the time of their life running and chasing and playing out there.

You can sure tell the difference in coats too, huh? Harley looks really super fluffy and Seymour maybe more of the silk type, with less undercoat? Do you have to groom them differently?

Pat, what a great clip of your boys ! I am SO afraid of wide, open spaces and have never let them off leash, other than at the dog park (which is boring, dirty and well.... boring! ) Mind you, with two of you there, one can always keep an eye on them both. lol I love to see them having a ball like that. They have so much energy.

Their coats are beautiful !

Exactly Julie! Harley has a lovely FULL cottony coat...very, very soft but takes a very, very long time to brush..brush..comb...comb...him every nite and we haven't started to blow coat yet

Seymour looks so much smaller because his coat is much silkier/wavier but he has already started to blow coat

Typical Seymour....always has to be first

We're actually inside the baseball diamond which is fully enclosed except for the gates leading to the 'dug-outs'. Not sure what we'll do over the summer when they're playing ball as the rest of the park is open field (except for an enclosed hockey rink that is left up all year) Without the enclosure I'm SURE Seymour would be gone like a shot.... whereas Harley is SO food motivated...hehehe....that he hears the bag of treats rustling in my pocket from 500 yards away

Their coats really are nice aren't they....and so different....debating on having Harley trimmed....but of course the family is saying ....of course they're not brushing him are they???

What fun to watch them run around and around! And, how neat to have a fenced in area for them to run in, what a nice city you live in! (Ha! )

Pat, I understand your dilemma about Harley's coat. Wait until it gets really hot and muggy and you'll most likely vote for a good trim. He's got a lot of hair, like Ricky does, and it's hard keeping both dogs nicely groomed. Yours haven't started blowing coat yet, right? So that "joy" is yet to come! I'm really trying to keep Ricky's hair long this year. We shall see......
