Anal gland issue

I have written several posts regarding Django and an on going issue with his anal glands. The latest, he had an infected anal gland, there was some swelling to the left of the rectum (location 8:00) the vet took care of things, we put him on antibiotics.

He is doing great however, the swelling is still visible and sore to the touch. I took him back in, worried infection wasn't clearing up, vet checked things, said anal glands had nothing in them, antibiotics were working, but he believed the swelling was due to irritation, the tail was rubbing against the inflamed area not giving it an opportunity to heal. So, put some epsom salt in a tub of warm water and gave Django warm compresses on his bottom a couple of times a day.

Here we are, a week later and the swelling is still there and delicate to touch. I have been adding a little neosporin to the area, the tail has cleared up but nothings changed with the swelling. Has anyone experienced anything like this? I don't think it's a tumor, putting a call into the vet again just to see what he suggests. By the way, I have had 2 vets look at this area and both are on the same page.
