So a Havanese made it to top 10 America's Cutest Puppies Boston....

I was so excited!

I've been DVRing the show hoping to see a Hav.

Her name was Chula and she was a golden sable [I think]. Adorable.

Since I've never seen one 'live' this was great.

Her trick was dancing and they all loved her. She lost points because she gave a mean judge too many kisses! LOL.

So cute the way they prance. It doesn't hurt them right? I was wondering about taking long walks with them walking like that. I know it's because front legs are shorter.

Anyway, it reinforced that I think I chose the right dog for us. Of course, I'll still really have to see one live.

they are really cute, and they way their hind quarters are give them that angled look and ability to really "spring off" those back legs! They are a pretty tough little dog!

Yay, that's great! The more publicity the Havanese has, the better! The only time I've ever seen a Havanese on TV is at the dog show and "Breed All About It" on Animal Planet.

Oh Trish, that is so cute! They love to dance on two legs. I taught the command 'dance' by dangling a treat and having them reach up for it. They take a few steps and I just thought how perfect and easy it was to teach them to 'dance'. It comes so naturally to them! Some might call this 'beg', but I think 'dance' sounds better. lol

They know how to be oh-so-charming. They weren't called circus dogs for nothing.
