Taking photos of 2...impossible!

Any advice for trying to get photos of two dogs together??? They never seem to be looking the same direction and one always runs away! Scooter knows "stay" but Murphy doesn't yet. Scooter has conveniently forgotten lots of his training since Murphy arrived. Does anyone know if there are military schools for dogs?

Here's one of my many, many attempts....

Now you know why most photos of the 2 together are when they're sleeping!

That is SO true....I'll see a cute photo op with my 2 together, and as soon as I get the camera, one of them moves...ugh! And it seems as SOON as they hear the beep of my camera turning on, they have no interest in being caught on film. (well, not film, but you know what I mean) Same goes with the camcorder. They stop what they're doing as soon as that thing comes out. Do they not know we're trying to win $10k from Americas Funniest Videos?!?! Think of all the bully sticks that would buy!

I am not laughing AT you but WITH you!!
Try doing it with THREE!!! One loves the camera, one hates the camera, one just wants the crumbs that fell under the table you are near....... whatever pics you can get. are great! I love the one you got! Scooter and Murphy are just too cute no matter if they are looking at the camera or not!

I am always shocked by how great Amanda's pictures are of 3. I can't get my two in a photo no matter what I try. I feel your pain. I have a hundred photos like the one you posted (which is cute even if one is walking away).

Ditto! Benji and Lizzie do some very cute things and I have never been able to capture it.

Thanks Karen I think if I could boot the little white monster out of the family, we would have much nicer photos. Belle hates to have her photo taken (there are people on this forum who can tell you how naughty she is with it). I think to get better photos you have to teach stay. I also usually have a piece of jerky I place on the camera and take a few pics and cookie. Oh and I try to take them after the dogs have hiked at the park, played around, etc. Exhausted dogs move less and their tongues hang out and they look even more happy!

Here is one photo where Belle actually looks happy which she is! She just ran around offleash and hiked. While their coats need work and look at those messy paws- harnesses, park, and tons of dirt. They all look happy which they were and stayed! I didnt have jerky to capture their interest though but it shows what they all look like at the park on a nice day.

CUTE !! Oh I know it's not always easy, but that's because Murphy is so young still and not ABLE to stop moving for one second! lol Paige gets her FOUR Hav boys to sit oh so handsomely and I'm always amazed.

One way to get them in a picture is for someone to hold them both.
