Hello

Just realized I haven't visited in a while. Nice to see all the new pictures.
I do keep up in Facebook, but is hard with all the "real names" there!

Hi Zuri!

I see there is a new puppy name under your sig! Congratulations!!! How old is he? We need pictures!!!

I'm the opposite of you… the FB "Havanese Forum is overwhelming to me. Too many posts!!! It's quieter here, and I can keep up!

Hi Karen!

I know, I haven't seeing you in FB, and yes, it is a bit overwhelming!

Nix is 6 months now. He is a little daredevil with a great personality. I think he is a human inside a dog's body, so smart and yet mischievous! He is very loving and devoted to the kids, really enjoys playing with them and vice-versa. Although they constantly call him Toby and when they catch themselves, I can see the sadness in their eyes. Toby's birthday was this month and the boys sang happy birthday to him as soon as they woke up that morning. It was a really bittersweet moment.

I have a hard time getting good pictures of him, he doesn't stay still for more than a few seconds, so is difficult to get a good shot.

Here are two pics of several weeks ago and one from 2 nights ago when I got their new beds. Is not the best quality, but the best I've got.

Awww, he looks adorable! I can just imagine how hard Toby's birthday was. I'm glad that you were able to get another puppy so soon. Of course he'll never replace Toby, but a puppy in the house HAS to bring smiles to everyone's faces!

Is he closely related to Bumi?

Karen, I certainly wasn't planning to get another one at least for a year or two. Until I saw him and showed him to the kids. His littermates are all b/w with equal parts of each color. He just stood out and with his black head and white collar, we fell in love. He stayed with his breeder longer than his siblings since we went away for the summer, but has adjusted beautifully.

We just got back from trick or treating and both dogs ended up being carried by us (the dogs walking the humans). 😊 Exactly what happened last Halloween but with Toby 💙

At first he would play with him just like he used to play with Toby,a little rough and very vocal. It used to freak out Nix and he would run away. After a while, they found a rhythm and now get along very well.

Ha! Bumi was probably thinking, "What's wrong with THIS puppy?!?!" Just like kids getting a younger sibling… every one is different!
