Dave~ Thanks for posting that. I took Tori off of Nutro Ultra as soon as I heard there were problems being reported. Thank goodness she was only eating it for a short while and suffered no ill effects. Shame on the FDA for their behavior!

I have always had my suspicions that NUTRO actually killed my border collie two years ago. I know this is a pretty strong statement, but I just feel it in my gut. Seriously bad crap.

After reading that, I'll never use Nutro. Thanks for the warning.

I'm glad you posted this. The breeder I bought Bodhi from was feeding this to the dogs so began to as well when I brought Bodhi home. He was scratching and biting at his tail constantly. Thankfully I found a wonderful dog store owned by a woman who is a nutritionist for dogs. She warned me away from Nutro. In fact, she has had quite a few people who've come to her after their dogs died unexpectedly....and most likely from eating Nutro.

I immediately took Bodhi off it, fed him probiotics to clean out his system and have been feeding him a variety of much healthier choices. All the itching and biting is long gone.

This is so scary. This is why I was cooking for my girls. Now though they are on prescription food. I sure wish I could be sure their food was safe.

I have several bags of Nutro treats and have given them in the past. Would y'all throw these out??? I'm a little bit afraid to use them now!
