Female or Male?

I had a search for this topic and came across one, but it got off topic and turned to genetic...
So.... For those that have both female and male havis, which do you find are more loving, more dependant upon you etc.

I've always had girls and was planning on getting another girl but I have been questioning that.
When I get my pup, my hopes are that for the first 12 months we'd do a bit of showing and obedience and once he/she is old enough we'd get more into agility.
What are you thoughts on the sexes?

We always had male dogs for that very reason. Very loving, pleasing and loyal. I don't think necessarily it is a sex thing, but rather a personality and rearing thing.

BOY!

I have two boys and a girl. Bella is the sweetest dog ever. She is independent, loving, sweet. My boys are much more velco, affectionate, loving. My boys adore me and are very needy. Bella is a sweetheart, but the boys really are different IMO. She loves me but my boys are in love with me.

Male or Female? Chocolate or Vanilla? December or July? There is something for everyone. Each has pros and cons. I happen to be a male Latin Lover. I LOVE everyone including female Havanese doggies........who are very loving! But I love my Momi and Popi most.

You can't go wrong with either! Buena Suerte (good luck)

I have a male and a female. I think my female is a little more "Velcro." She follows me EVERYWHERE....it's pretty cute, though.
My male has an awesome personality, too.
I think, with Havanese, it is more individual personality rather than gender. I love both!

I too have a male and female and kind of agree with Linda, Timmy is a bit more of a love bug. I thought it might be personality because Mae is much more active but it seems in conversation most people agree that their boys are a bit more laid back while the girls are a bit more independent. Don't get me wrong they are both loving affectionate pups and follow me everywhere but I do think Timmy is a bit more snugly.

I only have one, a male, but he couldn't be more loving. I don't think he's overly dependent… he has never had separation anxiety, and likes every one(and every friendly dog!) he meets.

I have not shown in conformation, but from what I've been told, it's a little easier to finish a boy because the classes tend to be smaller.

As far as performance is concerned, gender has NOTHING to do with it, and the last thing you want is a dependent, clingy dog, especially for agility, where the dog has to work independently, and at distance. What you want is a confident dog with a strong play/prey drive. and those can be found in both genders.
