Havenese question

So I took my baby to the vets & I asked the doctor if my dog might have another breed mix in her.And my vet said well she is definitely Havanese but I am not sure if she has another breed mix in her. Vet said it is really hard to tell. Looking at a few photos of others Havenese here. There dogs are larger then mine especially the paws. So can anyone tell if my baby might have a mix of some kind? It really would not matter because I love her no matter what or who she is! She sticks like glue to me & is so happy to see me when I return home!! She loves her walks & she lies down so I can put her coat on. It is too cute!

Can you post more pictures so we can see her from the side, her tail, back, etc.? Regarding size, some of us have smaller Havs (under 9 lbs), others are 9-13 lbs, and some are larger (14-20 lbs). Here's a site that describes the breed standard:

I got her out of not such a good living situation. I hope to make her days brighter.
When I say lets go outside she lies on the floor with her feet up in the air.
I am thinking she might be mostly havanese just as the vet says with a little bit of
maltese but then again she is not yappy. She seems not to have the characteristics of
a maltese. Vet says she only sees havanese. But she is super small.

What's super small? There are some very small Havanese. They might not be "within standard", but that doesn't mean they aren't pure bred Havanese, nor does it make them any less special as pets!

she is 7 pounds

Thank you Karen for information & your support. I just love this new little one.
You probably are right she is just a smaller havanese. I so love this breed.
From what I am experiencing & reading this breed is so sweet & gentle.

Seven pounds is completely within the range of the Havs on the forum. Does she have the cute little Havanese hop/trot/gait? They have a distinctive way of moving because their hind legs are a little longer than their front. She definitely has the velcro trait of a Hav if she is stuck to you.

Very cute!

TTFN,
Pam

I agree. While a 7 lb Havanese is most likely below the height standard for the breed (unless the dog is significantly under weight) it's well within the range that Havanese SOMETIMES end up. There are tiny Havanese and there are over size Havanese. We love them all!
