Lost Dog Washington DC Area

This was on another thread I subscribe to. Thought I'd post it here.

Marianne

Last night at 7pm, Megan slipped her collar at 17th and P, NW, Washington
D.C. She was last seen running east on S St., NW, from 16th St. towards
14th St. NW. There may have been a confirmed sighting on 11th St., NW, near
Florida Avenue, NW.

PLEASE CROSS POST.

She is a year old, about 10 pounds. She is black and has a white patch on
her chest.

She is a Gremmy daughter.

Call:
Bret - 202-258-2222
Jenny - 202-271-7702

Thanks very much.

Marianne

Oh, it is so busy in that area with vehicles. I sure hope they find her and she is safe. What is a Gremmy daughter?

I think Gremmy is the name of a dog.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Megan was found safe and sound. She was turned in to an Annapolis shelter and (after spaying her) they went to put in a microchip and found she had one already. I love a happy ending.

I'm a sucker for a happy ending too but I have a question. Wouldn't you think the first thing they would do is check to see if the dog had a microchip?

She was turned in as an owner surrender not as a stray. Whoever "found" her said they got her from a friend but were turning her in because she was to skitish (sp?). The SPCA spays owner surrenders. She was a pet anyway not a show dog. Her microchip wasn't activated, the SPCA contacted the manufacturer and traced the number to the vet who purchased it. I'm sure the owner's are just thrilled she's safe.

How odd, but very wonderful that her family got her back, and not TOO terribly long, either. I bet she was a matted mess!
