Phoebe **more pics!**

I've mentioned her here and there but hadn't ever given her a full introduction yet so I'd like to introduce Phoebe! She is a Chinese Crested-technically a hairy-hairless Crested. I adopted her though Crest-Care Chinese Crested Rescue. She is three years old and was a "breeder" dog in her past life. Now she is a spoiled sweetie at Chez Dogs! I had been attracted to hairless dogs before, but hubby was giving me the no-go big time! Once he had his hairy boys he relented to letting me get involved with Crested rescue and you can probably figure out the rest! I failed at fostering!

Christy, she is beautiful! I'm not a huge fan of CC's, but there are some, like Phoebe there, that carry themselves in such an attractive way. She looks soft and approachable.

Funny how you have very hairy Havs and hairless CC's in the same house. Which ones are easier to groom, I wonder?! lol

She's adorable. I love the Chinese Crested breed. I saw some really beautiful ones at Westminster this year.

Ha! I have a foster gal who is a truly hairless and she is simply wash-dry-lotion! Phoebe is very hairy for a hairless and to keep her looking like that does require a considerable amount of grooming. For her it's about shaving rather than combing LOL! I never thought I would be learning to shave a dog.

Hmmmm let me see where is my Chingy... This is my foster dog Chingy. She is 11 years old and an absolute doll! If you scroll down the Petfinder ad there's a video link! http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/dis...petid=13386056

For the show ring......THE HAV!! Hard to believe, huh? Crested's get acne and you have to deal with that, you have to keep them in lotion, sunscreen, etc. The hairy hairless normally win in the ring which means you're shaving with a razor. Clippers I can handle, but no way would I touch a face with a razor. I can do enough damage with clippers!
