Tipping Groomers?

Just curious, are groomers tipped?

I think I might of found a groomer for Dexter! Dexter really needs a sanitary groom and just plain spoiled once in a while.

I do it-on a $40 groom I tip 6 or 7 bucks. I know she appreciates it-I would! Grooming is tough work.

I just realized I'm not tipping 20%-yikes!!
I'm giving 8 next time.

I tip 20% but if it's the owner it's not always necessary. Ask other people who also go there if you can.

I tip approximately 20%, give or take. I round it off to the nearest $5.

Yesterday the groomer's bill was $40 I gave her $45 that's a $5 tip and just a little over 10%, she seemed very happy with that. I never thought of tipping 20% like I do at restaurants. Do you think I stiffed the groomer?

I tip very generously, but it is based on having an angel of a groomer who absolutely loves the dogs. She spends about 10 minutes when I first take him over just holding him and loving him before even starting to work. He adores her, and is never upset or nervous when I come back. She spends a full 3 hours, does a great job, and charges only $27, so she gets another $15 from me - since most groomers in our area start at about $45-50 for a dog with a full coat like him, I still think I'm getting a great deal - I guess my point is; I don't tip by percent or formula - it's all about how the groomer treats my boy!

When I used to take Milo I tipped anywhere from $5 to $10. The cuts were anywhere from $45-55.

If you have a great groomer, she has a busy shop and you want her to be available to you...definately tip! I've only used a groomer once...she charged 70 dollars and did three things I told her IN WRITING not to do! No poodle feet, no bullseye in back, and no cutting around the eyes. NO TIP for her! And I'm not going back either! BUT, if you like her.....tip her!
