Daisy is 6 months old today!

My baby is growing up! Here is a pic of her last night after her spaying. She is wearing her St Maarten onesie which was a hand me down from my 2 year old Granddaughter. I had given it to her, so it's nice to get extra use out of it

I think this forum has a lot of youngsters about that age. Sheba is six and a half months.

Aww! So adorable! I love her name, by the way. LOL! I guess I'm biased since I have a little Daisy too. She's turning 6 months soon and I'm pondering over whether I should schedule her to get spayed then. The thought still scares me.

Love and fluffy hugs,
Lina and Daisy

I really worried about Sheba's spay. I'm happy it's behind us.

Please do your research. There is more and more research suggesting that there are a LOT of health benefits to putting off spay/neuter until after the dog is sexually mature. AS LONG AS you are SURE that you can avoid her becoming pregnant during that time.

For some people, any health benefits to late spay/neuter are outweighed by the inconvenience of handling a bitch in heat and/or the health RISKS of an unplanned pregnancy. So the right answer for every dog in every family won't be the same. Just make sure that you have made an informed decision!

Truffles vet and breeder recommended waiting until one year. Going through one heat was extremely easy. There was hardly any spotting. She didn't even get a second look from any dog at the park while on a walk.
