New Pix of My Little Beach Bum!!

It's been a while since I've posted, so I thought I'd share with you some candids of "Bean's 1st Trip to the Seashore". FYI: Moose is still his name, but somehow, at some point, we started calling him Bean (short for Beanhead) and it just stuck!

I've also been meaning to promote the Bissell SpotBot - I invested in it a few weeks ago and man, oh man, I don't know how I survived without it. Not only is it really fun to use, but it actually got rid of a 6 month old coffee stain on my carpet. When Moose has a little accident I just set it down and let it do it's thing. Soooo cool!!!!!

It is so good to see him enjoying the water like that ~ what fun!

Thanks for the tip on the Bissell SpotBot ~ I may have to try that.

He's going for his first groom on Thursday. I'm both nervous and excited. I'm prepared to see the new Moose, but I hate that he'll loose his grey spots

Moose is adorable at the beach! Havee enjoys it also--digging, RLH. Boy does he get tired. How old is Moose, and I noticed you are from NJ. We go to LBI. Which beach do you go to?

Bean is adorable! Is that a Longaberger basket in the pic with Bean wearing the sunglasses? I love Longaberger! But I"m pretty sure I don't have that basket!

Bean has Stormy's coloring, Stormy lost all his black tips from his grooming sessions, but at least the groomer doesn't trim his ears or tail, so they have some black, still. So please post some 'after' pics!

Jan,
In the pictures, we were at Island Beach State Park. You're allowed to bring dogs to the sections of the beach that don't have lifeguards and are 'swim at your own risk'. It was alot of fun and there were so many other happy dogs frolicking around. We go to Bay Head for our overnight beach vacays.

Diane,
It very well may be a Longaberger basket, I'd have to check with my mom though, she gave it to me when I moved into my apt. I know my parents have had it since I was a baby, so that makes it about 25 yrs old.

I will definitely post some 'after' pics.

Question: When a Hav is groomed what is the reason for keeping the ears and tail long? Someone told me it's because that hair doesn't grow back, is this true?

It sure looks like he had fun! Great pictures. I have to ask too, what beach do you take him to?

I always thought the ears and tails were just to keep the havanese appearance. We used to cut Brady's ears shorter, but are keeping them long now. They have always grown back.

Rachel--check the bottom of the basket. It will have a Longaberger logo stamped on it, if it is Longaberger. And if it's 25 years old, it's worth a lot more money than your mom paid for it.
