Sheba slipped through the gate! My heart!

Sheba slipped through the gate of our fence today. I couldn't believe she could fit, but she was out like a flash. Thank goodness she came right back through when I called her. We are on a busy street!
There is just a very narrow space where the fence post and the gate post come together.

That was a rush of adrenaline you probably didn't need. So glad to hear she returned promptly - and safely. Reminds me I need to work on my recall.

That is so scary!!
I'm sure you couldn't get that fixed fast enough! Did you put something there to block it off?? It's amazing what they can slip through isn't it??

Glad Sheba came right back.
See what you can do about that part of the fence. It can happen very fast.

Oh my goodness! That would be a heart stopper! They are such super quick little devils! I am currently working on getting Willow to respond to my come to me command, which is "front" with a hand gesture. It's so important that they come when called. So scary when they get loose! Thank goodness Sheba came back to you! I'm so glad.

Wow, my stomach is churning reading that. It can happen so fast. I am glad it worked out alright.

Today my husband stapled a wire barrier between all the fence post-gate posts connections. Four connections in all. My little escape artist is now foiled!

Very happy she returned! I hate putting a leash on my pup but I dont want her to run away or chase something and get hurt. My hubby takes her outside freely and so far she stays near and is fine, but it scares me. Glad you got that fence sealed!

Very young puppies follow instinctively. Be very careful, though… the minute they hit adolescence, they start getting a LOT braver, and if you don't have a good solid recall by then, they can be very hard to catch.
