Sympathy/Memorial Ideas for Furry Family

Unfortunately my pups lost their furuncle today. He has been battling health issues all of his life and now is in a better place. I would like to send them something to remember him by. If you guys have anything you have for your old pets, I would love if you could share ideas. We are sending them a plant but they are too upset to talk about it for now but I would like to send them something in the future as they are just as crazy about him as I am about my pups.

Oh I am so sorry for them. Can you get ahold of a really great picture of him and have it enlarged, matted, and framed really beautifully? Maybe not to give now, but later? Just an idea. Or, if cost is not an issue, have it an artist do a painting from the picture.

Becki good idea- unfortunately with his bad health the last 10 years he has only had one eye and the other was really messed up and clouded too (a lot of other health problems too) so good pics are hard to come by in some sense. My husband is gonna go through our pictures and find some when he was doing better a few years ago. Freddie love Dora but Belle used him for target practice and it is kind of funny to go through memories with him so I thought about doing a memory book or something. We dont have great pics of just him as in a lot of pics he is laying down and quite a few laying down as close to Dora as he can get.

Tell your friends many of us are thinking of them. I had a memorial garden before we moved here, each time I lost a loved one or pet I would plant a plant that was its best for the month they left us. This time of the year it would have been a Hydrangea or butterfly bush. I started one here but the deer are so plentiful that they do not let many of the plants survive.

When my brother lost his lab, which was his baby for 15 years his girlfriend wrote this terrific poem about his life and had it printed on beautiful paper and in a doggy frame. It was so nice. The poem though was kind of from the dogs point of view, like how he cherished going for a walk every day, all the special treats and rubbing behind his ears and how lucky he was for 15 years.

Sorry to hear of their loss

Have you thought of a pretty new leash for a new puppy? The best compliment to the dog they lost is to get another one as soon a possible. Not a replacement but a new dog with new quirks and all. Havanese Rescue is a great place to start looking.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of Freddie. Send my sincere condolences to your family. We had a Freddie, a terrier mix, and he was a treasure and joy to have.

Oh how sad. I have given a few gifts from PhotoWow. They make your photo into a watercolor or pop art picture which may help if they don't have a perfect picture of him.
