Alter your recipe?

Any of you folks alter cooking your own food recipes to accommodate your Hav.? When we make spaghetti sauce ,we leave out onions for Molly's enjoyment. Every time my wife asks me how I like the spaghetti, I wink at her and say it's missing something.

Molly doesn't get tomato sauce all over her face? I can't give Wags a plate of anything wet or it ends up all over his beard and sometimes the tips of his ears! I guess Molly has learned to eat like a lady .

I'm laughing because our white bichon, who died some years ago, absolutely LOVED spaghetti sauce. And everything else, actually! She once consumed an entire bowl of habanero bean dip at my sister's house, polished off a bag of Kentucky Fried Chicken (bones and all) and could swallow an entire hoagie if you left it on the kitchen table. She was only 14 pounds, but she could eat her weight!

Although I am not a big meat eater, sometimes on a cold rainy day I crave a nice big bowl of beef stew. I'll get some stew meat on sale, and cook it up with potatoes and carrots. Then I divide it in half and put onions and other seasonings in mine, and leave the rest plain. I then light some candles and we both sit down at the table and eat it. Ha ha, that last sentence isn't true, but the rest is.

I sometimes make chickpea flour pancakes for Simcoe and I for lunch, leaving out the onions and such I so enjoy (it's more of a savoury thing) and when I make peanutbutter nut balls for myself I am sure to make a couple small ones with turkey jerky "sprinkles" for Simcoe at the same time.

Dave, if we can get enough of these, maybe we can put together a small pdf file like a cookbook? I think that would be lovely.
