Is it possible that Zoe is having accidents in the house because she is afraid of the storm? If that is the case, and it is involuntary, an indoor option might not help. If the accidents are occurring at times when she regularly goes out, and she just can't hold it, that would be one thing. But you said that she regularly is able to wait for five hours each day. You also said that the pooping is not near the door. Anytime my potty-trained dogs had accidents, it was near the door. Zoe's accidents are in a different room, which makes me think she might be hiding.

Not sure what you mean by accident. She is afraid of the storm (however, also pooped when there was a blizzard so she's not afraid of the thunder or rain, just overall bad weather) and choosing to go instead of hold it. So whatever that definition is, I was looking to find a way for her to still go potty.

What I am saying is that she might be pooping out of fright. In which case, she might not make it to an indoor potty...even if she had one. So maybe it would be better to keep her gated in a room with a floor that would be easy to clean up during bad, scary weather. Accident=poop!

Oh, I don't think she is pooping out of fright. I think she has to go and does not want to go out due to the weather so she finds somewhere else to go. She could make it outside but doesn't want to!

Back to the indoor potty idea, then! Good luck!
