Boarding

I'm going to have to board Gryff for a few days next month. I found this place only 15 minutes from me. I am going to visit on Thursday. I like what I see online. Definitely better than the other place I looked at. I want to do the premium boarding plan. What do you think?

The place looks really nice! Grand hotel for pampered pets! Let us know the details, ok?

It's not too expensive either. It's $45/night for the premium accomodations. I took Gryff over to another place where they do doggy playdates and boarding. They only have four kennels. Granted, they are large, but they are all regular chain link type kennels all next to each other. Given Gryff's attitude towards other dogs, I think he'd freak out. That place was $50/night. They also do playdates/socialization sessions. They charge $30/day for that. Seems a bit on the expensive side considering this other place does it for $20.

gezz from standard to premium goes from doggy jail to doggy hotel- lol! Previously, I have looked at a lot of places and the premium is a pretty good price- MUCH more expensive in Columbus and especially LA. I always ended up getting a dog sitter who came to my house and stayed overnight. With having 2, it was always the cheaper route and I liked that my dogs werent exposed to dogs I didn't know. However, you have to have someone you trust...

That place looks great. Our guys are going to stay at the vet for a week, don't have anywhere else they can go. My entire family is going on vacation together for a week and the dogs can't go.

Is it possible for Gryff to stay with the Sheltie neighbor for a few days?

Gryff gets nervous around the sheltie's sister doggy. He was going to stay with another friend of mine, but her dog is very old and he has taken a turn for the worse, so it's not a really good time for them.
