Hello All,

I'm so excited to be the mom of a Havanese. His name is Bugsy, it was Midnight when I got him, but Bugsy seems to fit him better, and he doesn't care what he's called, he just comes whenever you call him. Brady's mom & Brady's grandmom got me hooked on the breed with their dogs. I can't believe how lucky I was to get such a great dog. He is truly a love. He hasn't met anyone yet that he doesn't like or doesn't like him. I think I've attached a picture of him with my granddaughter if I've done it correctly.

They're both adorable. Just wait if you think you're having fun now. They are the sweetest, most loving little fur babies in the world. Enjoy every minute with your little guy. How old is he?

Welcome to the group and keep us updated as you fall more and more in love every day.

Geri,
Thanks. He's 19 months old and like you described, he's the sweetest little guy, that even macho guys that don't like small dogs are smitten with him. We are all really enjoying him.

Congrats! Looks like your granddaughter and Bugsy are the best of friends.

I know what you mean about even guys who "don't like little dogs" liking Havanese. My brother (who has hunting dogs and couldn't understand why I didn't get a setter instead, argh!) came to visit and -- after I caught him playing with Beejie in the backyard! -- allowed as how they're sure smart and have a lot of personality!

Hi Nancy,
I just wanted to say hello and welcome you and Bugsy to our fun group of crazy dog people here I am glad that Brady was able to get all of this started for my Mom and You. I tell him all the time how he is such a special boy and made the two of you fall in love with the breed and have to have one just like him

Karen,
Brady made us fall in love with him first and then the breed. It's just amazing how we all got such great dogs. I can't find any faults with Bugsy and neither can Phil. He's just a love, and I'll forever be grateful to you for finding him for me.

Thanks, I'm really happy to be here. Love the name Scooter too. Aren't these dogs just too cute for words?

Yes they are, we got Scooter and less than a year later added Murphy. You'll soon be suffering from the same disease, MHS. (Multiple Havanese Syndrome)
