I am so glad you didn't loose all your money, but sorry you were taken advantage of this way. I was worried for you when I read your post late last night, but thought it was too late for me to say anything. This kind of scam has been posted in the past on other Havanese Yahoo list's and happens too often.

Pictures of other breeders puppies/dog are typically used on web sites for this kind of scam too.

Getting a nice, healthy show dog is going to cost more then $2000. Like the old saying goes, "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is".

Again, I am sorry for the pain you are feeling today, I hope they can get this crook behind bars where he belongs. Hang in there and give Yoda extra hugs today.

Susan, I'm so sorry about this! Did you lose any money at all? Oh, I was fearful about this one when I was reading it last night and just like Kathy said--I was afraid it was too late to do anything more than hope the best for you. There are so many scams out there that you really need to check, check and double check everthing to be sure you are getting what you are paying for. Never take someones word for it that you are getting a good deal. You need proof of health testing, to meet the breeder, and see the puppy you are planning to get. Ask lots of questions and get references too! Give your little Yoda hugs and kisses.

That is very sad,and I hope the police catch him and lock him up for a long time! The best part is you didn't lose any money, and you shouldn't feel bad for the puppy......there probably wasn't one to begin with.Seems like alot of scams come from Nigeria/etc.Always wanting you to send money. They had a deal about Nigerian scams one night on 20/20 or Dateline(one of those shows).I kept getting e-mails about someone being killed in Nigeria that was a long lost relative etc.and he was a "big wig" and if I sent $ I would inherit all kinds of money etc.Bull.......
Turns out it was a scam......luckily for me,I just deleted all that e-mail stuff.

I'm so glad you got your money refunded. Sadly, I know of several other people that got burned from the puppyfind site. You are right BUYER BEWARE !!!
