Cooper can swim!!

So yesterday I took Cooper to his favorite place to romp around. It's a farm with rolling hills that's been converted into a place with walking trails picnic tables etc and it has become a great place to bring dogs because once you're in you can take your dog off of the leash and they can run forever because the place is huge. Cooper loves it there and he never fails to make some new doggie friends when we go. The place also has a big pond in the middle of it that the big dogs love to run and jump into. Cooper has pretty much never paid attention to it so I was shocked when yesterday he goes down the little dirt ramp and sniffs the water and I say "no Coop" then he takes a step and before I can say anything else he leaps in!! I was ready to go in after him because I didn't know if he could swim and he started to sink but then all of a sudden he pops up and he's dog paddling like crazy!! He's looking up at me as if say "what the heck is am I doing" while he swims in a small circle and then heads over to the ramp and walks out. He loved it and I couldn't stop laughing.....

How cute, I love it when they discover something new. We have a large Koi Pond and right after we got Galen she had been following Smarty on the waterfall steps to drink for several days’. I was pulling weeds, which has become my main occupation, and out of the corner of my eye I see her running down the waterfall and plunk. Under she goes. All of a sudden she pops up and swims to the side. I don’t think she liked it, plus she had to have a bath. I thought it was very funny too, wish I had had my camera.

Sandi, taking a new road with Smarty and Galen

I took my guys over to my cousins new pool. I put them into the pool and held on to them. They couldn't wait to get out. They didn't seem to like the water at all. But they loved the next couple of hours running around all wet chasing each other and rolling in the dirt. They were so filthy but I didn't mind since it seemed like they were having more fun than they've ever had lol

Chances are if your parents never had kids...you won't either...
