Funny but gross.......

I thought I would make a nice turkey dinner tonight so I thawed out what I though was a turkey I had had in the deep freeze for a while....I put it in the sink with water to speed up the thawing......As I started unwrapping it from the grocery store bag it was a little too red and then realized, much to my horror, I had thawed the skinned bear head my son had killed in the spring. yuck!!!!!!!
I was wondering why Tika kept going over to the counter by the sink and sniffing the air......she was smelling the raw bear meat.

Too funny!

When my husband and I first got married he did a little taxidermy mostly for friends.
He had a bear head and skin to make into a rug and he asked his dad to put it in their freezer and they didn't tell step mom - you guessed it - she unwrapped it to see what was taking up so much room.

They really got in trouble.

Oh my. May I ask why a skinned bear head was in your freezer anyway? There are not many things that gross me out, but I think my stomach is a bit queasy at the visual that came to mind.

My sun shot the bear in the spring and is saving the head it to get it taxidermied and mounted, he just has not gotten around to doing it yet. I will be encouraging him to get it out as soon as possible. LOL
