playing favorites :(

My in-laws were in town this week. And they loved both dogs. But to be honest Cash is just so much more affectionate-and quite frankly more or a regular dog-- they kept saying what a sweet dog Cash was... And I always feel bad that people don't see Jasper for the wonderful dog that he is -- We call him our Puppy-Cat because he is so independent. But when he does give you affection it is so sincere- he looks you right in the eyes and then kisses you right on the lips.

People must feel the same way with Kids if one of their children is more outgoing than the other.

Missy - I have the same situation with my guys. Lily is very standoffish, barks at most people to first come to the house, and keeps her distance for a long while before warning up. Lexi will do the hit or miss, run to you, get a pet, then run away to be sure she is ok, then do it again. Logan will just jump in peoples arms, and french kiss them & never leave!! I do feel bad sometimes as I think people are looking at Lily differently but family and friends who have known her a long time know she is the sweetest thing going. I agree as I have two boys who are black & white - and get commenta all the time from people about them.

My children are like that...yes!

Teachers at school and church go on and on about my middle child who is very outgoing while my darling eldest sits really irks me. But she knows she is special and once she gets to know someone they adore her too.

My son is a little younger so it doesn't phase him.

I don't think you should feel bad.Everyone gravitates to different dogs, for different reasons. You love both Jasper and Cash.Because one is more friendly and willing to greet "strangers",just means they don't really try too hard to get to know Jasper...or maybe Jasper prefers that, and that's okay too!My in-laws prefer Vinnie,so does my husband.I don't care....We had Vinnie the longest...and they are used to him more.My daughter prefers Quincy, and so does Robbie.I love them both! The only thing I would personally have an issue with,is if company(or family)only brought a treat for 1 dog,or something like that.Don't feel bad.........

Isabelle was my first dog and a lot of friends and family gravitate towards her too. Everyone is amazed at how much personality is in such a little dog. The bad part is they reward Belle for being bad- they love when she barks, throws herself on you, etc. Dora is such a good dog but she takes a little bit to get to know before she throws herself on you. I actually kind of like Dora being a mommy's girl. Belle will ditch me for anyone with food where as Dora picks me-roast beef excluded

Thinking of adding a Neezer, check out this thread!
