Wohoo, MHS here I come, it's time for a new puppy!!!

Hi all,
I'm so excited! After having our little male have for almost two years, we are now absolutely sure we need a second Hav. Even my DH thinks it's a great idea, which, for a previous 'outdoor farm dog only upbringing' is saying a lot about these little furballs.
So now for the question - could you recommend a breeder to me? PM me if you like, I'm not sure of forum etiquette so my apologies if I'm off base to ask here.
I'm looking for a breeder that focuses on health, temperament, and training; a local breeder, so within a hundred miles of Seattle; we will not be showing, looking for a pet. I have found some great breeders around the area through our local club and references, but none with puppies coming up this year. So... help! Could you throw your favorite names my way?
Thanks so much.

Laura,
I'd love to know of your replies, if you get any privately. I haven't found any within a hundred miles of Seattle, unless it is possible one of the "Silks" breeders of which I think there is one on the Peninsula around Pt. Angeles.

I'll be anxious to see what answers you get. Good luck!

Hi

I just PM...but as soon as a puscht the button I remember you have a different "mile" over there...

BUT since this breeder make me want to travel across the globe...a 2,5 hour drive (I checked it on google map) do not sound that far in my ears...

Good Luck!!!

Yeah Laura! We were so happy to bring our second little dog home, it's been lots of fun! There was so adjustment to having a puppy again but he settled in with us immediately. Can't wait to see your new addition.

That is so great to hear.
I am going to have to live vicariously through you, as Henry will continue to be an only-dog plus one cat for now.
Congratulations, and have fun planning for the new little neezer.

Laura- my recommendation is even if it is a PIA, if you can't find a breeder that you are in love with, you maybe take a road trip/flight. I think of it as an investment and what is an hour flight if you can get your next best friend.

On that note, my next pup will be a 5 hour flight

Guys- calm down. You know I am not good at my own secrets! Still a work in progress and it isn't happening this year but always working on it! I am just wanting to say, I would be more than willing to travel. I truly feel the right breeder is priceless and that is even having a great socialized and happy dog, I am always getting knowledge from my breeder and it is worth my time on a plane. Just wish she was closer (and maybe that will be another piece eventually!)
