Metro Air Force dryer questions....

Hi everyone,
I'll be getting my puppy in a few weeks now (yeahhhh). I've gotten just about all I will be needing so now I wait.
I got the Metro dryer and had thought some on the forum mentioned that is was pretty quiet? Well mine sounds as loud as our vacuum cleaner and I was wondering if this was right?
Plus at what age can I start using it on the puppy? Get her used to it right away, starting with just the noise of it then bit by bit using it on her fur?
Then I had read that if not done correctly I could create more mats so I was thinking....could one of you maybe video how to use it correctly? Pretty please My breeder had said to lay them on their sides and blow up towards the spine then when they are standing blow it in the down direction and brush. I'm just not sure how NOT to create mats while using it.

Yes, I will add pictures as soon as I can

Thanks for any and all help.

I wondered about the same dryer. You will not need to use it for a while because pup's hair will be so short.

I would introduce the system letting them smell and see it, praise....praise....praise....a little a day. Take it slow....and start the turn on briefly, do not respond to frighten looks, just tell them, it's ok, treat or whatever is good.

Just take is very slow......this is what I am planning on doing....still deciding which dryer to get.

Hi Linda,
Thanks for responding. I'll ease her into it for sure I hope someone else chimes in that has one and speaks about the noise level of it. It's pretty darn loud!

I would really like to look at a dryer in person...just to see how loud they were. When I bought my human dryer for Dexter. I dried all the dryers and picked the one that was the quietest and that blew really good.

If you do not get very many responses, just bump to the top.

My Metro sound like a jet plane...AND can blow pictures off the wall. If forgett some combs on the trimtable they FLY away...
So I guess your are just ok...

I never use it on a young dog or puppie...there is no need ... Mine get use to the noise since I use it on the older dogs ...

It make the drying time much shorter, and when you learn to handle it, it make both your and your dogs life easier...BUT introcude it slowley to your puppie because is loud and can be scary at first..

Thanks Karin....looks like I bought too early. At least it will be here when she's old enough.
