Anyone feeding Honest Kitchen?

Cocotini has always been a fairly good eater and I have been feeding her either Fromm's chicken or Surf and Turf (which has been her favorite). Recently she doesn't seem to want either one or any other hard kibble I've had samples of for her to try. She wants either what we're eating or Ceasar's(YUCK)!!! I thought I might try Honest Kitchen, but wondered if anyone has tried it and what you think of it. We have an excellent dog food store here that carries most, if not all, of the best lines of dog food and this is what the owner of the store has chosen to give to her dogs. Any thoughts?

I can't say I actually used it. I saw it advertised, got some samples and had to throw them away because my two wouldn't eat it. See if you can get samples first.

Haven't tried it. Maybe your Hav is just going through a spell of being picky about what he wants to eat......Like I should talk! Dexter is picky, but if he is hungry, he will eat.

Yes I feed it to Dazzler( 16 months) and Dakota (11 months) each evening and they love it! They are both very healthy with beautiful coats. They also have Orijen kibble in the morning!!

I got free samples of all the different flavors/kinds from a pet store that swears by it. I gave it to all three of mine, they sniffed it and walked away. Needless to say, I never bought any.
If you have a pet store near you that carries honest kitchen, I would go and get some samples. Good luck.

The pet store does have samples so I'll get a couple to see if she'll eat it. Gwen, it's interesting that you feed Orijen kibble as well, because I got some samples of it- Cocotini ate it the first day (although she doesn't like kibble that large on the whole- I think she thinks it's too much work to chew it!!!) But she won't eat it anymore. Mindy will eat anything and gobbled the few pieces I mixed into her bowl. She got quite sick that night and the next day. She was throwing up and wouldn't eat anything for 24 hours- probably a coincidence as she normally has an "iron stomach". But I couldn't think of anthing different that she ate-unless she grabbed something while out on her walk which is most likely what happened. Anyway, since Cocotini didn't like it I decided to keep looking. Cocotini likes softer food better, but nothing with a gravy type consistency -like Spot's Stew. That's why I wondered about Honest Kitchen. I thought I'd see what you all thought of it before getting samples.

I feed my dogs Honest Kitchen's Thrive as a mix in to their dry food. They all love it, which says a lot because we have some finicky eaters.

Thanks Renee for your feed back. I was also thinking of using it as a mix with dry- what kibble do your dogs like? I have to look up Thrive- I think the pet store had suggested Force.

I too feed them Thrive. I started when they were younger and put it as a topper on their kibble like Renee does. It's only recently that I feed it only at dinner.

My Havs are currently on a blend of Orijen Senior & Nature's Variety Instinct Chicken Meal Formual. Decided to switch it up a bit since they've been on Orijen Adult since November '08. Their next round will be the Orijen 6 Fish Dog now that my store has it available finally!

I feed my other 3 a blend of Solid Gold Wee Bit & Wellness Small Breed Super 5 Mix. I couldn't decide what brand to feed so I got a bag of both & just ended up mixing them together. Ever since I started feeding them this they turn their noses up @ everything else. Sometimes I think they're more finicky than the Havs..
