bee sting

We were about to go for a walk when Zoe got stung by a bee. It got her in the foot and she screamed with pain. We just got back from the vet who checked her and gave her a shot and some homeopathics. She seems to be doing OK. Has this happened to anyone else?

I got stung in the eyelid last week. It swelled up and my eyes were different shapes for days!
(no problem with vision)
Used both ice & a tea bag to treat it immediately.

Pixel got stung by a wasp right on her lip, shortly after I brought her home. Boy did she scream, poor little thing!!! I called the vet, who told me to give her Benadryl every 8 hours for the first 24 hours, since it was on her muzzle, where swelling could impede her airway. Obviously they told me to bring her in immediately if it got worse or if there was significant swelling after the first 24 hours.

Fortunately, by the next day she was fine.

I just got back from the vet.
Henry got bit by something too and had an infected area on his leg/hip area.
Wound cleaning, antibiotic shot and topical spray for the next 2 weeks.
Possible cone.
We are not the outdoorsy types apparently!

Oh no! How terrible for you and Henry! BTW, Zoe is fine now. I iced it on the way to the vet. The antihistamine shot and homeopathics (traumeel and apis) did the trick. She's playing now. I was so worried as she is only 7 lbs. Karen, so glad to hear little Pixel is fine as well!

Karen,
Can you tell me the dose you gave Pixel and how much she weighs? Thanks,

I can't guarantee that she learned her lesson, Ricky!
