Protect our doggies!

I can't believe how many conversations I have heard lately about small dogs getting badly injured or killed by wild animals or hawks or owls. I have been particularly worried about the coyotes and hawks in our neighborhood.
Last weekend I was at an event about 90 miles from home and there was discussion there about the same problem in condo complexes where some people are feeding the coyotes! Then today, on facebook, a scared havanese mommy.

I really could site endless examples. I just want to share with you what we did and how wonderful it feels for peace of mind. Please, if you live somewhere where your small pets are in danger, consider doing something to protect them.

Our Havs are just too precious!!

Please see the next post too because for some reason I no longer can load 2 pictures at a time.

Thanks,
Carole

Very smart and chic setup, Carole! I love it! We dont' have that problem here, thankfully.

That looks really nice Carole. We do have problems with cats being killed by other animals around here but I haven't heard anything about small dogs, hope I never do! Mine are never outside without us though so I hope that protects them.

Nice setup. Our 50lb dog, Rascal, is always out with Izzy in our fenced in yard so I don't worry about her too much. Rascal is so quick, unfortunately, he once actually caught a crow in the yard .

Carole~ I told you earlier I LOVE that setup! We never let Tori outside alone because of coyotes, hawks, skunks, etc. I sure do wish we had a place we could build a setup like you have. Maybe Richard would be able to come up w/something for Tori at our house if he came and saw yours???

Carole,

That is an incredible set up, functional and beautiful. Thanksfully, we don't have a problem with hawks or coyotes, so a fenced in privacy back yard with doggy door works really well.
