Mine get to go into the water at the lake, but then they have the whole walk home to get dry again. I don't want a wet, grassy dog coming in and out of the house, so rarely have set up a "water feature" for them. I did set up the sprinkler once, on a Havanese play date, and the dogs had a BLAST racing through it as a group!

I would have loved to see that! A whole herd of Havanese in the sprinklers would have been fun to photograph.
I rinse Sophie off in the utility room sink before going into the house she now goes in there and leaps up trying to get into the sink herself.

She loves the sprinklers too they come on automatically and when she hears the hissing noise as they are turning on she races out there. I don't let her in lakes or ponds since I dont' vax for lepto and they have incidences of it here in our area. So she has to settle for her pool.

I don't vaccinate for Lepto either, but our lake is large, and there is little danger in water that is not standing and stagnant.

On a walk home from the lake, Kodi's hair is moving through the air, and the sun is on him, so he's dry (or mostly dry) by the end of the half hour walk home. With Kodi in full coat, he'd be wet for hours in the house if I didn't dry him with the dryer, and he'd get matted lying around wet until he DID dry. Pixel's hair isn't that long yet, but it will be!

No better way to dry off than a walk in the sun I'd love to see them playing in the lake. These guys are so funny in the water. Sophie also dries pretty fast right now but I know it will be harder when her coat gets longer. At the beach she gets soaked but dries by the time we walk the short way back to the house and the sand just falls off. I may end up keeping it trimmed along with her face but will see I do love the long coat. Whatever will be most comfortable for her.
