Dangerous puppy

Just got back from urgent care....I took a puppy nose to the right eye.

Putting aside the pain that brought me to my knees, have a corneal abrasion and a huge black spider floating around in my eye. (apparently tissue or blood or something.....this was a Dr, not a vet so I wasn't paying that close of attention).

When the nurse was asking her list of questions she said "is this injury due to abuse" and I was like "Well...YEAH!"

LOL

Bad puppy!

Oh no…Ouchie!!! I didn't know puppy noses were so dangerous! They just move so fast…It sounds very painful. Did they give you eye drops to make it less painful? Sure hope you feel better soon and your eye heals quickly!

Sorry about your accident. I've never had a nose in the eye, but they do move very fast and I can see how that could easily happen. I've been bonked in the nose a few times by my dog's very hard head, to the point that I had to let out some very bad words, but then I had to reassure him that I wasn't mad at him. I do hope that your eye recovers fully!

It wasn't the poor baby's fault, we were playing and she happened to launch upward the same time I swooped downward and it was a fluke we'd connect at the worst spot. I was more worried about her little nose than my eye. But it did hurt like a purple monkey. Yes I have drops and will see regular eye Dr tomorrow I'm sure it will be totally fine, just another funny story on Sophie's growing list of funny stories.

Sounds like you have all "been there" at one time or another! Good thing these little ones are so cute. <3 I felt horrible for Sophie because she had to stay home in a crate while I was at the clinic, for 3 hours which is the longest during the day she's had to. It was good experience though as I am trying to leave her a short time every day and lengthen it, but that was a really long time for her. Luckily I had just stocked up on some fun new toys for her at WalMart and we got to play in the yard with them when I got home.

Oh my - so sorry! It's never happened to me but I can see how a squirmy puppy could accidently lunge for your face. Hope your eye gets better soon!
