Dog Tag Holder

Has anyone tried these?

My boys never wear collars around the house and then we have several collars or harnesses when we go out. This looks like it would be a quick easy way to change the tags from one thing to the other, which makes good sense since now we never seem to have tags on! I just wonder of they work well because I wouldn't want to lose their tags even though they don't wear them!

Sounds good. I may look it up to see what it looks like. It would be nice to not have to take the time to transfer the tags off the metal ring if you wanted to change up the harness.

My only concern would be the added length hanging down... I know that Kodi's not full grown, but he's already a big baby (10 lbs) and his tags, when added to the jump ring and the D-ring on the collar, already hang half way to the ground. I would want to see that this wouldn't make the whole assembly long enough that it was knocking against their legs when they are moving.

I agree that would be a problem! I'll let you know because I went ahead and ordered it. I can't imagine it would be too bad because the little loop goes over the collar itself and then there's just the jump ring and the split. How old is Kodi? My guys are full grown now so I can't count on them to get taller.

This will add length to the tags for sure! Dexter tags are just on the collar and they do hit the water bowl every time he get a drink.

You still have put the tags on the holder type thing with each collar you put on the pup. This will get old really fast!

We need a system where you can just scan the dog and tell if the pup has had his/her rabies vaccinations (Now...wouldn't this be nice!).....Tags no longer needed. Now, I need to come up with something that will allow us to walk our dogs without a collar!

Then we wouldn't have to put a collar on our beautiful Havs!

I did find another gadget for Dexter!
We still need the collar for the leash

?? Look at it again. The tags go on a slip ring just like usual and you don't have to remove them from that. The holder has a clip just like a regular collar does, so you just remove from one collar and place on whichever collar or harness you want. It doesn't seem like it would tire me out. ?? I guess I'll be seeing since I bought it!

My guys have a local liscense and if they are taken to the pound or the vets, they can be scanned for microchip. The chip lists me, my breeder and my vet so they can check to see they've had their rabies shots. But would they? Hmmmm not 100% sure about that. I'd feel safer with them wearing their tags if they were running loose. (God forbid!!)
