Puppy Teeth

My Mattie is 5.5 months old. She still has some puppy teeth and her big girl teeth are starting to come in. I'm just wondering if I need to take her to the vet to get looked at or if it is common to have 2 sets for a period of time? Especially her top front teeth shes starting to have baby and big girl teeth. Any advice?
Thanks!
M

Molly had a double row of top front teeth for a time. Very strange looking indeed. We ran in to trouble with Molly retaining her baby canine teeth for too long. The adult canines could not come in properly and caused us to have to extract a couple of adult teeth as she grew. Most vets will extract retained baby teeth at the time of spay or neuter.
