Just Venting

Ollie and I are depressed today. It is August 21st and we are stuck in the house watching the snow fall. Yes you heard me right, the snow is falling. Those big fat flakes, it is dark and dismal and it has been falling all afternoon. They are saying we are going to get a frost tonight. Time to move to Hawaii. Gee Whiz.

This is "The Great White North", but this is crazy, even for us. We usually don't see snow till November/December. It is supposed to be in the 70's. We normally have warm weather through mid September and then a beautiful warm fall till late October. Something has gone terribly wrong. I guess it is the price for living next to the Rocky Mountains. Beautiful, but unpredictable.

We had a record hot summer, strange things happening all over. I'll bet you live in the middle of some GORGEOUS views though! As an animal/wildlife artist I would be over the moon to take photos there.

I don't know how you northerners do it? My condolences. Wonder what kind of winter you'll have. Or is this a fluke and it will go back to pleasant temps. My friend that lives in Denver gets snow at the strangest times. Also, in the Rockies.
