Kidney stones

Has anyones dog experienced kidney stones? I had Django's urine cultured a month ago- excessive peeing- and it turns out he had a UTI. Went on specific antibiotics to correct problem. things improved 100%.

Did another round of urine sample and culture and it turns out bacteria is still in his system. Vet thinks it might be kidney stones. He's going in on Friday for a followup after his dental last week, will take X-rays to determine if he has stones or not. Hoping it's just a UTI however UTI's are not very common with male dogs. Not sure what's in the horizon. Ugh.

I have no idea. Django surely has more than his share of physical troubles, poor guy.

It's tough when the little ones are I'll

Teddy's seen his share of illnesses earlier this year when he almost died.

Just be positive.
I think it makes a huge difference to them.
I noticed that when my mom came over for a few days.
She was quite positive and Teddy got better (emotionally) which I believe, helped him pull through.

I suppose they can sense your emotions and it affects their too (based on Teddy).

You're doing the best you can for him. That's what matters.

After X-rays, happy to report no kidney stones! He's got something going on in the bladder, hoping another round of antibiotics will do the job. The vet was blown away by his superb condition for being almost 12 years old. His heart looks amazing, his spine and bone structure is perfect and he has no fat, lean machine.

Despite all his health problems, I am so happy that he's in great shape. Hopefully this will help keep him around for years to come.
